This healthy recipe is much lower in sugar than a traditional “Dirt Cup” and is packed with protein and fiber to provide your body with the nutrients it needs to thrive and keep you feeling full rather than crashing and craving more by the end of the day.

Plus, it’s sooo easy to make! Here’s the scoop…

Ingredients

For the chia pudding

  • cashew milk (or liquid of choice)

  • 3-4 tablespoons chia seeds

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Other dirt cup ingredients

  • chocolate protein powder (we used Ascent brand, plant based option)- not affiliated, just like it!

  • plain non-fat greek yogurt (amount will vary based on size of serving container)

  • peanut butter if desired

  • Simple Mills Honey Cinnamon Sweet Thins (or other graham cracker/cookie you like)

Combine all ingredients for the chia pudding in a airtight container. Mix well and refrigerate for 2-3 hours minimum, or overnight.

Once the chia pudding has refrigerated, add 1 scoop of protein powder and mix thoroughly. Then scoop desired amount of chia pudding into serving container (about 1/2 way full is good)

Top with plain greek yogurt, ensuring you leave enough room to add your gummy worms and other favorite toppings!

Drizzle peanut butter over the yogurt if desired. We used natural peanut butter so it was easier to simply drizzle a small amount. You can add more if you’d like!

Place Sweet Thins or other graham cracker in a ziplock back and seal. Use a rolling pin to grind/smash crackers into small crumbs or powder. Pour desired amount over the top of the greek yogurt.

Add gummy worms and other spooky toppings of your choosing to finish off your healthier “Dirt Cups!” Serve and enjoy!!
